I’m back after a week leading up to ADing (Assistant Directing) the independent short film Tom Carter. I have a number of good questions sitting in my inbox - many of which are some variable of how do I become a filmmaker? The simplest answer is get on a set and be useful. By working hard on a set, you will literally be making a film and also become a better filmmaker. There is single path to work up to a director’s chair but all paths run through the set.
